Welcome to

San Diego Cooperative Preschool

Our Mission:

Empowering the Future

At San Diego Cooperative Preschool, we believe play is the foundation for happiness, development, and growth. We provide the highest quality care while creating a nurturing and supportive community of children, parents, and highly skilled teachers and staff. Our model of community sustains and enriches our children throughout their lives. We seek to enrich every child’s experience and to empower each child to joyfully develop at their own rate.

At a Glance…

SDCP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been serving families since 1964. As San Diego's only parent cooperative preschool, we prioritize the strong, collaborative relationship between teachers, families, and children. In our cooperative model, parents actively engage in their child’s learning by volunteering in the classroom multiple times each month, fulfilling a school job, and staying involved in their child’s early development. Our Board of Directors is parent-run, and we value the ongoing collaboration between families and staff to ensure the highest quality care during these crucial formative years.
