Holiday Scrip Drive at SDCP (Nov. 26th-Dec. 7th)

Just in time for the Holidays, SDCP is holding a Scrip Gift Card Drive. You can order any gift cards from the Preschool and the price of the gift card is all you pay. On Monday, Nov. 26th there will be an order form in your pocket, simply complete the order form and turn it in to Brad in the Office with your payment (made to SDCP). Make Holiday shopping easier this year and help the preschool raise money!

SDCP Kindergarten Readiness Panel (December 6th)

Please save the date for the Kindergarten Parent Information Night to be held Thursday, Dec 6th, 6:30 – 8:00pm.  School representatives and teachers will give a brief overview of the kindergarten setting at the following elementary schools, and be able to answer your questions:

  • Children’s Primary School
  • SD Cooperative Charter School
  • Grant
  • Explorer
  • Longfellow
  • Einstein
  • McKinley
Childcare will be available for $5 per child.  Please email Brad at your earliest convenience with the following information if you will need childcare that evening:
  • Name of child(ren)
  • Age of children
This is an excellent opportunity to look ahead and discover information about good educational options for your child.  We hope you can join us.

SDCP Community Meeting (December 13th)

The Community Meeting is designed to keep everyone up to date on the relocation efforts that the preschool has been working on since July of this year. There is a relocation committee composed of four professionals (parents) in the area of real estate (all areas), building and design. There will be a report from that committee, as well as the development committee, an overview of licensing a new center, and any other information that we need to bring to you.

Your comments and involvement are crucial to giving us any specific information or insights you may have, and any clarification you need.

We will see you there. The specific time will be decided upon return from Thanksgiving holiday, however, it will be a time between 6pm and 6:30pm, and will be held in the Common Room.  If you would like Child Care, it will be $5 per child. Please contact Brad if you would like this option.

1/2 day opening in the 4-4 3/4 year old classroom

If you know anyone who has a child who is 4-5 and would love to be a part of our cooperative community, please refer them to the office!

Don’t forget to sign in and out for cooping and the classrooms

Due to Licensing, we are required to have parents write their full name on the sign in/out sheet for cooping. We also use these in fire and disaster drills and can also be used as a legal document.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
